Return to Tremenheere

On Friday September 4th, I returned to the far west of Cornwall for the last of this year’s troika of concerts in dialogue with wonderful Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens. This visit celebrated the music of Robert Saxton, in counterpoint with his teachers Elisabeth Lutyens and Benjamin Britten,

Here is an extract from Lutyens’ exquisite 1979 work for violin, in counterpoint with the wonderful James Turrell ‘skyspace’ in which the first of friday’s pair of concerts took place.
