In the Studio with the Kreutzer Quartet

With composer Martin Ellerby and the Kreutzers 18 7 25

This is what we have been up  to – first chance to hear Martin Ellerby’s delicate meditation on an East End tragedy, and its memorial (in the studio yesterday with my dear friends, Mihailo Trandafilovski, Morgan Goff, Neil Heyde).

Martin Ellerby’s new quartet is inspired by, and reflects on the Bethnal Green Station Disaster of 1943. The events of March 1943 are commerorated by a thoughtful memorial by Arboreal Architects/Memorial Architect, Harry Paticas MBE, which is also one of the inspirations for this new quartet. On the 31st October this year, the Kreutzers will give the live premiere of the quartet at Bethnal Green Church, right next to the site of the tragedy and the memorial. Watch out for further information.
