I got to know this wonderful composer in 2003, when I toured his sonata in Türkiye (with Aaron Shorr) and worked with him. It turned out that we had a mutual friend in George Rochberg, who had helped him with his first publications in the USA. This recording of his 1966 solo violin piece was made live at the Ankara Festival a few years later.
