Composer Sadie Harrison has been a vital part of my musical life for nearly three decades. This has resulted in a large body of extraordinary pieces: many works for violin alone, two violins, violin and piano, string quartet and extraordinary work for singing, vocalising, breathing violinist. I premiered this piece in 2003, and since then have recorded it, and played it worldwide. It’s part of my DNA!
