I was introduced to Louise Vale by my wife, the writer Malene Skaerved, some years ago. I was instantly struck by the delicacy and sensitivity of her ear and eye. She has written me some wonderful poetry about music, but ‘Paths’ is rather different. It takes, as its starting point, drawings, paintings and photographs of my walking over the past few years.
