Welcome to ‘Preludes & Vollenteries’ at the wonderful church of St Mary Aldemary. This series of salons is inspired by the architecture of the Square Mile, the astonishing churches built and restored in the years after the Great Fire of 1666. This concert brings together a small selection of the large number of anonymous works from the same period. I would like to thank Alexander Krug from Landesmuseum Klagenfurt for the inspiration and support in this exploration.

I am very grateful to the Moot Community at St Mary Aldemary for all the inspiration and encouragement that they have offered for this series.

The next concerts will be 6pm on the 3rd November (St Botolph Bishopsgate), and 23rd November (St Mary Woolnoth)For more information: www.peter-sheppard-skaerved.com
