5th December 2013Nigel Clarke’s Cornet Concerto – Mysteries of the Horizon has won a prestigious 2013 British Composers Award. Feeling a little proud of my longest friend/collaborator, whom I first bullied for a piece ‘Parnassus’ in my second year at RAM. Here’s an overview of the resulting works-two string ensemble works, two violin concertos, and two solo pieces – which I have played so many times that he says it’s embarassing….
